Teaching Apprenticeship

The teaching apprenticeship is a new form of school-led training that combines paid work in school with training and qualifications comparable to other post-graduate entry schemes.

Apprenticeships will last for one year, with an assessment process for Qualified Teacher Status comparable to other school-centred routes into teaching, including School Direct. Trainees will need a degree in order to qualify for apprenticeship training.

Teaching apprenticeships will be introduced from September 2019. At the Spencer Academies Trust we are working toward registration as an apprenticeship training provider, and will open applications when approved to do so.
