We are recruiting for governors for new and existing outstanding Spencer schools.
Whether a parent or a professional able to provide support as a community governor (or both), Spencer local governing bodies are the link between schools and communities. Together, we deliver on The Spencer Academies Trust mission, making a difference to the life chances of thousands of children and young people across the East Midlands.

- The Ofsted ‘outstanding’ George Spencer Academy
- Heanor Gate Science College – a top three school in Derbyshire in the 2018 league tables
- Chellaston Fields Spencer Primary Academy – a brand new school opening in Chellaston in September 2019
- Two parent governors for The Mease Spencer Academy – a brand new primary opening in September 2019 in Hilton, Derbyshire
- Portland Spencer Academy and Glenbrook Primary School – our Ofsted ‘good’, warm and welcoming primary schools making a difference for children in the Bilborough area
