Derby Moor is a pioneering academy with a focus on inclusion and aspiration, supporting students to deliver to the best of their ability. Expectations are high, and this has been reflected in a record of success including best-ever exam results in 2019.

An Ofsted report delivered just prior to the school becoming a Trust member in January 2018 noted rapid improvement, leading to a rating as ‘good’ across all judgement categories. Inspectors noted that ‘leaders have created a positive and vibrant community for learning’, and that ‘pupils are proud of their school and its caring and inclusive ethos.’

There is much to be proud of, including purpose-built campus facilities which stand out as amongst the best in the region, and which were completed in 2013. Additional investment is targeted for leisure and cultural provision on site, with facilities to be shared with the local community.
