Chetwynd Primary Academy
“Supporting children to become kind, courageous and curious citizens, helping them to shine”
Chetwynd Primary Academy is a warm and inclusive school which aims to provide children with an excellent education and enriching experiences to promote a love of learning.
In keeping with the focus on enrichment, Chetwynd has a Forest School, a school dog, and provides a full calendar of activities and visits to support curriculum delivery. Located close to the army barracks in Chilwell, Chetwynd has an inclusive character, and is well-equipped to support the needs of service families.
While the culture of Chetwynd stands out, the underpinning emphasis is on excellence in education delivery. The school is in the top 25 % of schools across country for progress in reading, writing and maths; and has been ranked in first place in Nottinghamshire for elements of phonics delivery.
