SAT awarded World Class Status

Spencer Academies Trust is delighted to announce that we have been accredited as a ‘World Class MAT’ by the World Class Charitable Organisation.

This new accreditation has been rolled out in accordance with the quality of our students. MAT’s leading the rollout have one or more schools already accredited as a ‘World Class School’.

Amongst our academies we already have four recognised as ‘World Class Schools’ with Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, George Spencer Academy, Wyndham Spencer Academy, and St. Giles Spencer Academy, offering their students World Class opportunities from start to finish.

Miranda Perry, Director, WCSQM ‘We do not believe there is an accreditation like ours of MATs in this country, and we are proud to be ahead of the curve. Our charity champions non-selective state schools and the students who attend them. We are delighted that this new accreditation process gives us another way to celebrate and promote the best educational practice in the country, and the World Class students who benefit from it.’

SAT CEO, Paul West, ‘We are delighted to be amongst the first Trusts in the Country to be awarded World Class Status, and look forward to more of our Academies preparing and submitting applications to be considered for World Class School accreditation.’

SAT Director of Secondary Education, Fraser Mitchell,

‘This partnership recognises the very special students that The Spencer Academies Trust helps to foster and the Trust are excited about several other schools across all phases also gaining world class status in this, their tenth year as MAT. We are thrilled to cement our fantastic partnership with World Class Schools even further.’

Angela O’Brien, Spencer Academies Trust Primary Director, added “It’s all about the opportunities World Class presents for our students – and we want to open even more doors to this for more of them”.

We look forward to seeing more of our academies being acknowledged as world class in the future.
